Almond milk
Total time: 5 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw almonds, soaked for 4 hours
- 4 cups filtered water
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 seedless dates, optional (or use figs, 1 tablespoon honey, or maple syrup)
- Pinch of sea salt
Steps:
- Pop the almonds out of their skins after soaking and add to a blender with all the other ingredients.
- Blend until a smooth consistency is achieved.
- Strain the almond milk with a cheesecloth to remove any lumps.
- Drink or place in the fridge for up to 7 days.
