Frosting

  • 1 bag Pamela’s Products Vanilla Frosting Mix
  • 8 Tbsp. Nutiva Organic Shortening room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. water
  • 4 drops liquid chlorophyll
  • Organic sprinkles

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9”x9” baking tray with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all cake ingredients. Pour batter into the prepared tray. Bake for 20 minutes, until the inside is cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, blend together frosting mix and shortening until smooth, adding water if needed. Mix in chlorophyll drops until frosting is an even, bright green. Transfer to a plastic bag and cut the corner off the bag to pipe frosting.
  4. On a cutting board, cut cake into 14 evenly-sized triangles. Cut 7 straws in half horizontally. Insert a straw into the base of each triangle.
  5. Using frosting, create a zig zag pattern on each tree. Decorate with sprinkles.
